Therapy for when you’re stuck and ready for a change

You’re really good at going through the motions in life, but you often find yourself feeling overwhelmed, dealing with intense emotions or struggling with lack of motivation.

Maybe you feel like there has always been this void or numbness present within and you don’t know who you are without it. For as long as you can remember, it feels like you’ve just been “Surviving” in life and you are ready to start "Thriving.”

What to expect when working with me:

When you choose to work with me, you will get a very compassionate, non-judgmental and understanding hands-on approach for your counseling needs. We will work together to get an in depth understanding of your current struggles in life, and identify the goals you hope to achieve with counseling.

With this knowledge of who you are and what you’ve been through, I will create a custom approach tailored specifically to your lived experiences and strengths.

Unlike other therapists, I do not just provide “talk therapy”. My approach combines evidenced-based techniques and exploration of how past behaviors impact you today. With this information, I challenge you with in-depth questions to help you gain insight to reach your goals.

I work best with those who are open to branching out of their comfort zone, who want to control their feelings and understand themselves better. I will give you all the tools you need to make this happen.

Brittany Meadows, LPC

Picture yourself as a giant unsolved jig-saw puzzle.

I work with you to find the missing pieces and help connect them where they need to go.

With this, you can have a completed picture of what life can look like.

Is it really time for therapy?

Going to therapy can feel intimidating and daunting. Talking to a complete stranger about your problems doesn’t sound “fun”. Especially since you might feel like things aren’t “that bad”. For the most part you go to work and live your life just “fine” with no problems. Or you’ve lived through so much in life already you feel like therapy won’t help or change the way things are.

So why would you need therapy? Yet, here you are. Looking up therapy pages for a reason. Maybe there is a part of you that feels like there could be more.

What if I told you there was more to life than just living like you are on autopilot. Sure, you handle things for the most part, but are you happy? Does your life have a purpose or does something feel like it’s missing? Are you tired of carrying the weight of things that have happened in the past? Are you ready for a fresh start?

If this is what you are dealing with, I know how to help.

What it’s like to work with Me

I know first hand the impact mental health can have on the way you feel and live your life. Whether it’s having family or friends dealing with it or living with it yourself. I know what it can feel like at times. I know how hard it can be to push through. From these personal experiences, I know what works and what doesn’t.

My clients describe me as understanding, approachable, validating and as someone who “gets it”.

I provide my clients with the skills needed to continue growth in their daily life outside of their therapy sessions. When in therapy, I don’t tell you what you want to hear, but rather what you need to hear in order to help you heal and achieve your goals. I will challenge you in a heart-felt, gentle way that helps you break through any barriers preventing you from moving forward. I provide you with the “tough” questions, help you identify patterns of unhealthy behavior and support you as you feel confident. With this help, you will start to heal and notice the change you’ve been looking for.
